What Drinks Are Provided on a Yacht Birthday in Abu Dhabi?
Planning the drinks is an important part of organising a yacht birthday in Abu Dhabi. Guests may spend two or more hours on the water, taking photos, enjoying the views and sharing the birthday cake, so refreshments should be simple to serve and suitable for everyone. The standard drink choices for a yacht celebration are water, juices and soft drinks. Before finalising your arrangements, confirm the drink setup with the charter team and share the number of guests, children and any preferences.
Which drinks are suitable for a yacht birthday?
Water is the essential option for a celebration at sea, especially during Abu Dhabi’s warm weather. Keep it available throughout the cruise so guests can stay comfortable while moving between the seating areas and the deck.
Juices are a practical choice for children and adults. You can plan a selection of familiar flavours for a family birthday, or keep the menu simple if the group prefers lighter refreshments. Soft drinks can also be included in the drink plan for guests who want a fizzy option. Water, juices and soft drinks work well for a mixed-age gathering because they are easy to serve and suitable for a family-friendly setting.
Are drinks included with the yacht birthday package?
Each yacht package has its own listed inclusions. The package price includes the cake and deck decoration, while the drink arrangements should be confirmed when planning the charter. This is useful if your group has specific requirements, such as extra water for a daytime cruise, more juice for children or a particular selection of soft drinks.
Do not assume that a food or decoration item automatically covers every refreshment. When you enquire, provide the guest count and ask the team to confirm what will be prepared for your chosen yacht. This helps you plan the celebration clearly and avoid last-minute changes.
How much should you plan for?
The amount depends on the number of guests, the charter duration and the time of day. A two-hour package is the minimum charter, but some groups choose an extra hour for a longer cruise and more time for photographs, cake cutting and conversation. A longer trip generally means you should review the drink quantity with the charter team.
Guest numbers also matter. The fleet includes boats for smaller celebrations, such as Panda 1 Luxury Yacht for up to 8 guests, and larger options including House Boat Luxury M1 and House Boat Luxury M2 for up to 40 guests. Browse the Abu Dhabi yacht fleet to compare the available capacities and package details before deciding on your refreshments.
Where can guests enjoy their drinks?
Many birthday charters depart from or operate around Abu Dhabi Corniche, where guests can enjoy views across the waterfront while having their refreshments. Depending on the selected departure point and yacht arrangements, other marina locations include Al Bateen Marina, Saadiyat Island, Yas Marina and Zayed Port.
A Saadiyat cruise can create a different atmosphere, with the island setting and views near the Louvre Abu Dhabi area. A Corniche route may suit guests who want a central Abu Dhabi backdrop, with views towards the city waterfront, Emirates Palace and Lulu Island where the route allows. The exact sightseeing route depends on the yacht and marina arrangements, so confirm it during planning.
Drinks alongside the cake and food
The birthday cake and deck decoration are already included in the listed yacht package price. This means you can focus on choosing a cake-cutting moment that works with the cruise and arranging the drinks around it. For a more detailed cake request, see the custom cake service.
Food extras listed for yacht celebrations include a mix fruits platter for AED 100, mix grill for AED 100 with a two-meal minimum, and seafood for AED 150 with a two-meal minimum. These options can be discussed with the drink plan so the serving order is comfortable for guests. Additional decoration is listed at AED 150, although the package already includes deck decoration. More ideas are available through the birthday yacht service.
