Can a Yacht Host a Team Outing and Birthday?
Yes. A yacht charter can bring a company team outing and a birthday celebration together, giving colleagues time to relax while recognising a team member. In Abu Dhabi, the occasion can include a birthday cake, deck decoration, refreshments, shared meals and optional water activities, all planned around the group size and preferred marina.
Choose a yacht that suits the whole group
Start with the guest list, then compare the fleet by capacity, location and budget. For a larger company group, the House Boat Luxury M1 accommodates up to 40 guests and has a two-hour package at AED 2,500. House Boat Luxury M2 also accommodates 40 guests, with a two-hour package at AED 2,700. Both are listed at Abu Dhabi Corniche.
For a medium-sized outing, King House Boat and Lavy Luxury Yacht each accommodate up to 30 guests, with two-hour packages at AED 3,500. Princess Yacht accommodates up to 25 guests at AED 3,698 for two hours. Smaller teams can consider Haya House Boat for up to 20 guests at AED 2,000, or Panda 1 Luxury Yacht for up to 8 guests at AED 1,200.
Every listed package includes the cake and deck decoration. The minimum charter is two hours, and the extra-hour rate applies only to time beyond the package hours. You can compare all capacities and prices on the Abu Dhabi yacht fleet.
Build a schedule that works for business and celebration
A simple two-hour programme can begin with boarding and refreshments, followed by a short welcome from the organiser. The group can then enjoy views around the Abu Dhabi Corniche, with time for photographs and informal conversation. The birthday cake can be served during the cruise, making the celebration part of the outing rather than a separate event.
If the team needs more time for a meal, presentations or activities, an additional hour may be added at the boat's stated extra-hour rate. The organiser should allow time for boarding, food service and the birthday moment instead of filling every minute with formal activities. For ideas on structuring the occasion, see the yacht party service.
Add team-friendly food and activities
Refreshments can include water, juices and soft drinks. Available food additions include a Mix Fruits Platter for AED 100, Mix Grill for AED 100 with a two-meal minimum, and Seafood for AED 150 with a two-meal minimum. Vanilla Cake and Chocolate Cake are each AED 150 when selected as an extra, while the standard package already includes a cake.
For a more active outing, the available options include one hour of Jet Ski for AED 500, or one hour of Donut Ride or Banana Boat for AED 550 each. These are optional additions, so the organiser can keep the event relaxed for colleagues who prefer conversation and sightseeing. Details are available through the water sports service.
Plan the setting and practical details
Abu Dhabi offers several marina options, including Al Bateen Marina, Abu Dhabi Corniche, Saadiyat Island, Yas Marina and Zayed Port. The correct choice depends on the selected boat and the preferred atmosphere. A Corniche setting can suit a straightforward company gathering, while Saadiyat can offer a different backdrop near the island and Louvre Abu Dhabi area. Yas Marina may be considered when the group wants a setting connected with Yas Island.
Before requesting a quotation, confirm the final guest count, preferred charter length, boarding location, food requirements and whether the group wants water activities. A photographer, flower bouquet or limousine car pick-up can also be requested, with prices provided on request.
