How to Plan a Yacht Proposal in Abu Dhabi
Yes, you can plan a marriage proposal on a yacht in Abu Dhabi. A private charter gives you time together on the water, a prepared celebration setting and the freedom to choose a boat that suits your guest list and proposal style. Start by deciding how many people will attend, where you would like to depart and whether you want a simple private moment or a larger family celebration.
Choose the right yacht and location
The fleet includes boats for intimate proposals and larger gatherings. For a proposal with up to eight guests, Panda 1 Luxury Yacht starts at AED 1,200 for two hours. The 40 Ft Birthday Yacht accommodates up to 10 guests from AED 1,598, while Shark Yacht accommodates up to 10 guests from AED 2,098. For a larger proposal party, House Boat Luxury M1 accommodates up to 40 guests from AED 2,500 for two hours.
Every listed two-hour package includes the cake and deck decoration. The minimum charter is two hours, giving you enough time to settle in, enjoy the cruise and plan the proposal without rushing. If you need longer, the extra-hour rate applies only beyond the package hours. For example, the extra hour is AED 450 on Panda 1, AED 549 on the 40 Ft Birthday Yacht and AED 1,000 on House Boat Luxury M1.
Most listed boats depart around Abu Dhabi Corniche. Depending on the yacht and arrangements, you can also ask about Al Bateen Marina, Saadiyat Island, Yas Marina or Zayed Port. A Corniche setting can place Abu Dhabi’s waterfront atmosphere at the centre of the experience, while Saadiyat may suit couples who enjoy a quieter cultural setting near the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Confirm the suitable marina and route when making your enquiry.
Plan the proposal moment
Tell the charter team how you would like the proposal to happen. You may prefer to propose privately at the front of the boat, during a quiet pause on deck or after a meal. If family and friends are joining, they can wait for the signal and celebrate afterwards. Keep the plan clear and simple so the moment feels natural.
Decoration and balloons are available as an onboard extra for AED 150, although deck decoration is already included in the package price. If you want a particular theme, colour palette or arrangement, explain it before the charter. A custom cake can also be requested through the custom cake service, with the final price provided on request. Standard vanilla or chocolate cakes are listed at AED 150 each when ordered as extras.
Add thoughtful details
A photographer is available with the price provided on request, which can help you capture the question and the celebration afterwards. You can also ask about a flower bouquet, limousine car pick-up or other personal touches, with prices provided on request. For refreshments, plan water, juices and soft drinks. Food options include a mix fruits platter for AED 100, Mix Grill from AED 100 with a two-meal minimum and seafood from AED 150 with a two-meal minimum.
If you want the celebration to include an activity, the listed options include one hour of jet ski for AED 500, one hour of donut ride for AED 550 or one hour of banana boat for AED 550. These additions may suit a larger group better than a quiet proposal, so choose them according to the atmosphere you want.
