How Early Should You Share Your Yacht Guest Count?

Guest count is one of the most important details when planning a yacht birthday in Abu Dhabi. It affects which boats can accommodate your group, how much space you have for seating and cake, and which marina or setting suits the celebration. The best approach is to share your expected number as early as possible, even if a few guests have not yet confirmed.

Why the guest count matters

Every yacht in the fleet has a stated guest capacity. The Panda 1 Luxury Yacht accommodates up to 8 guests, while the 40 Ft Birthday Yacht, Shark Yacht and 55 Ft Luxury Yacht each accommodate up to 10. For larger celebrations, the House Boat Luxury M1 and House Boat Luxury M2 each accommodate up to 40 guests.

Sharing the number early makes it easier to compare suitable options rather than choosing a yacht that is too small or paying for more space than your group needs. It also helps with the practical layout of the birthday: where guests will sit, where the cake will be placed and how much room remains for moving around the deck.

Share an estimated count first

You do not need to wait for every invitee to reply before starting your enquiry. Send an estimated total and explain whether it is likely to change. For example, you might initially plan for 16 guests and later confirm a final count of 14 or 18.

When sharing your estimate, include adults and children in the total and mention any important group details. A family celebration, a birthday with young children and an adults-only gathering may all use the space differently. The final count should be confirmed before arrangements are completed, because capacity is not simply a budget preference. It is a safety and comfort consideration as well.

Use the count to compare yachts and prices

The fleet includes choices for different group sizes and budgets. Marina Villa accommodates up to 15 guests, with a 2-hour package priced at AED 1,500. Haya House Boat accommodates up to 20 guests, with a 2-hour package priced at AED 2,000. For up to 30 guests, the King House Boat and Lavy Luxury Yacht each have a 2-hour package priced at AED 3,500.

For a smaller group, the 40 Ft Birthday Yacht accommodates up to 10 guests and has a 2-hour package priced at AED 1,598. The package prices listed for these yachts include the cake and deck decoration. The minimum charter is two hours. If you decide to extend beyond the package hours, the extra-hour rate applies only to the additional time.

You can review the full Abu Dhabi yacht fleet once you know your approximate guest count. This makes the comparison more practical, especially when choosing between a compact yacht for a close gathering and a larger house boat for a family or group celebration.

Confirm the count before food and extras

Guest numbers also help you discuss food and onboard additions. Available extras include a Mix Fruits Platter for AED 100, Vanilla Cake for AED 150, Chocolate Cake for AED 150, and Decoration & Balloons for AED 150. Mix Grill is AED 100 with a minimum of two meals, while Seafood is AED 150 with a minimum of two meals.

Because the standard 2-hour package already includes a cake and deck decoration, ask about extras only when you need something additional or different. Custom cake options are available from Starter through Showstopper, with prices on request. You can also explore the custom cake service before finalising the guest list and cake size or style.

Tell the team where you want to celebrate

Guest count is only one part of the planning conversation. Share your preferred departure area as well. Options in the data include Al Bateen Marina, Abu Dhabi Corniche, Saadiyat Island, Yas Marina and Zayed Port.

For a Corniche birthday, your group may want a yacht suited to a relaxed view-based celebration near the city. If you are considering Saadiyat, you may prefer to discuss the 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat, which accommodates up to 20 guests. The Corniche, Emirates Palace, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat and Yas Marina can all help shape the atmosphere you want, but the suitable departure point and yacht should be discussed with the charter team.

A simple timeline for your enquiry

• At the first enquiry: Share your estimated total, preferred date, celebration type and preferred marina or area.
• As replies arrive: Update the expected count if it changes enough to affect the yacht choice.
• Before final arrangements: Confirm the number of guests, food requirements, cake preferences and any requested extras.
• For the day itself: Keep the final guest list aligned with the confirmed capacity and arrangements.

There is no advantage in keeping the guest count until the last moment. An early estimate gives the team useful information, while a final confirmation helps keep the yacht, seating, cake, food and decorations aligned.
