Planning guest numbers is one of the most important decisions when organising a yacht event in Abu Dhabi. The number affects the boat you can choose, the package budget, the amount of food required and how comfortably guests can move around during the celebration. A useful plan starts with the confirmed guest list, not with the biggest yacht available.

Separate invited guests from confirmed guests

Begin with three figures: the number of people invited, the number who have confirmed, and the number you reasonably expect to attend. For a business birthday, team celebration or client event, keep these figures separate until the guest list is settled. Children, colleagues, clients and accompanying guests should each be counted clearly because every person uses the yacht’s stated capacity.

Do not plan around an informal phrase such as “around 20 people”. Write down the names or groups, then add a small planning allowance only if your guest list genuinely changes.
