Can I Plan a Birthday Charter with a Flexible Guest List?
Yes, you can plan a birthday charter around a guest list that may change. The key is to choose a yacht with enough capacity for your realistic maximum, rather than booking for only the people who have confirmed first. In Abu Dhabi, the fleet includes intimate boats for small groups and larger house boats for family celebrations, so your plan can stay flexible without losing structure.
Start with a guest range, not one exact number
Make two lists before selecting a boat: the number of guests you expect and the highest number you may invite. If your celebration is for up to eight people, Panda 1 Luxury Yacht accommodates eight guests and has a two-hour package priced at AED 1,200. For up to 10 guests, the 40 Ft Birthday Yacht is AED 1,598 for two hours, while Shark Yacht is AED 2,098 and the 55 Ft Luxury Yacht is AED 2,200.
For a slightly larger group, Marina Villa, Maya Luxury Boat and Al Maharia S each accommodate up to 15 guests. Their two-hour package prices are AED 1,500, AED 2,896 and AED 1,800 respectively. This gives you useful options when the guest list is still taking shape.
Choose capacity before focusing on style
If relatives or friends may join at the last minute, leave a sensible margin within the boat’s stated capacity. The 62 Ft Tecno Yacht accommodates 18 guests, while Haya House Boat and the 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat accommodate 20 guests. For up to 25 guests, Princess Yacht is listed at AED 3,698 for two hours. Lavy Luxury Yacht and King House Boat each accommodate 30 guests, with two-hour packages priced at AED 3,500.
For larger family groups, House Boat Luxury M1 accommodates 40 guests with a two-hour package at AED 2,500. House Boat Luxury M2 also accommodates 40 guests, with a package price of AED 2,700. These options can be practical when the final guest count is not yet settled.
Understand what the package includes
Every listed two-hour birthday package includes the cake and deck decoration. The minimum charter is two hours, so the package is a clear starting point for planning food, drinks and the celebration schedule. Drinks can be arranged as water, juices and soft drinks. If you need a cake designed around a theme, you can ask about the custom cake service before finalising the details.
Additional items are available separately when needed. A mix fruits platter is AED 100, vanilla or chocolate cake is AED 150, and decoration and balloons are AED 150. Mix grill is AED 100 with a two-meal minimum, while seafood is AED 150 with a two-meal minimum. Flower bouquets, photography and limousine pick-up are available on request.
Keep the timing flexible too
If two hours may feel short, extra time is charged according to the selected boat. For example, Haya House Boat is AED 750 per extra hour, the 40 Ft Birthday Yacht is AED 549, and House Boat Luxury M1 is AED 1,000. The extra-hour rate applies only beyond the package hours. Water activities can also be requested separately, including one hour of Jet Ski for AED 500, or one hour of Donut Ride or Banana Boat for AED 550 each.
Plan the setting around Abu Dhabi
Most listed boats are based at Abu Dhabi Corniche, making the birthday yacht service suitable for a celebration planned around the Corniche and nearby city views. The 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat is based at Saadiyat Island, a useful option if your plans are centred near Louvre Abu Dhabi or Saadiyat. Other listed marinas include Al Bateen Marina, Yas Marina and Zayed Port, so confirm the appropriate departure point when discussing your booking.
A simple way to make the decision
Write down your expected and maximum guest counts, select the smallest boat that comfortably covers the maximum, then compare package prices and extra-hour rates. Review the full fleet, choose the cake and decoration approach, and keep food and drinks suitable for the group. For balloon styling beyond the included deck decoration, see the yacht decoration service. This approach lets you plan confidently while keeping room for a few changes to the guest list.
