Can I Celebrate a Birthday Near Saadiyat Island on a Yacht?
Yes, you can plan a birthday celebration near Saadiyat Island on a yacht. The most direct option in the current fleet is the 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat, based at Saadiyat Island and designed for celebrations of up to 20 guests. It offers a private setting on the water while keeping your birthday close to one of Abu Dhabi’s most distinctive cultural and beachside areas.
The Saadiyat birthday yacht option
The 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat has a two-hour package priced at AED 3,698. The package already includes the cake and deck decoration, so these essentials are part of the quoted price rather than separate compulsory charges. The boat accommodates up to 20 guests, making it suitable for a family birthday, a gathering with close friends or a relaxed celebration with a defined guest list.
The minimum charter is two hours. If you want more time on the water, an extra hour for this boat is AED 1,599. That allows you to build a longer celebration around your meal, cake moment, photographs and time together without needing to change boats.
What the setting offers
Saadiyat Island gives the celebration a different atmosphere from a birthday charter departing around the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Your planning can centre on the island’s coastline and nearby cultural setting, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi area. The exact route and views should be discussed when arranging the charter, as sailing details depend on the operating plan and conditions.
If your preferred celebration style is closer to the Corniche, the wider Abu Dhabi yacht fleet includes boats for different group sizes and budgets. The fleet ranges from smaller birthday yachts for intimate groups to larger house boats for up to 40 guests. However, the 90 Ft Saadiyat House Boat is the listed option specifically located at Saadiyat Island.
Food, drinks and birthday details
Birthday arrangements can be kept simple and family-friendly. Water, juices and soft drinks are suitable choices for guests, while the included cake provides a clear moment for candles, photographs and birthday wishes. Additional food options listed for the charter include a Mix Fruits Platter for AED 100, Mix Grill at AED 100 with a minimum of two meals, and Seafood at AED 150 with a minimum of two meals.
Extra decoration and balloons are listed at AED 150, although the standard two-hour package already includes deck decoration. If you want a different cake concept, custom cake options are available on request. A flower bouquet and photographer can also be requested, with pricing provided on request.
Planning activities on the water
For guests who want more than a seated celebration, optional water activities include one hour of Jet Ski time for AED 500, a Donut Ride for AED 550 or a Banana Boat for AED 550. These should be requested during planning so the operator can confirm whether they fit the celebration arrangement and guest needs. They may be better suited to an energetic birthday than to a small children’s gathering.
How to organise your Saadiyat birthday
